Deep jewel tones, vintage details, a beautiful October day, and a happy couple of newlyweds – All the ingredients you’d want for a gorgeous fall wedding celebration, and Brittany & AJ’s DoubleTree Pittsburgh Airport wedding had all that and more. We met up with Brittany and her bridesmaids as they were putting the finishing touches on their hair and makeup, still relaxing in their floral kimono-style robes. As the ladies began to get dressed, you could see Brittany’s vision for the day coming together before your eyes. The color palette for this wedding was absolutely stunning, including the tones of the mothers’ dresses as well! Once the girls were ready, we left for St. John the Baptist Church where we’d meet up with AJ before the wedding ceremony began. He stepped outside with me to pose for some photos while one of his groomsmen helped me tell corny jokes to make him laugh!
The ceremony itself was filled with lots of smiles and a few happy tears as Brittany and AJ said, “I do.” From there, we made a stop at a local park for some portraits among the fall foliage before heading to the DoubleTree Pittsburgh Airport for the remainder of the evening. A sweet first dance and a few touching speeches kicked off the reception, with a lively dance floor, impressive cookie table, and even a candy spread to provide the guests with a number of ways to enjoy themselves throughout the evening. Have a look below at some highlights from the day!
