Lindsay & Mike’s beautiful Duquesne University wedding took place on one of those hot summer days where the weather just couldn’t decide what it wanted to do. But when you have a great couple with a fun, laid back bridal party, getting caught in a downpour in the middle of photos and having to run for cover really isn’t the worst thing in the world! When something like that happens and everyone is still laughing and in good spirits, you know it’s gonna be a good day!
The wedding ceremony took place on Duquesne’s campus in the university’s Chapel of the Holy Spirit. After a fun bubble exit with all of their guests, we made our way around campus (ducking in and out of cover from the off-and-on rain) to capture some photos with the bridal party & get some portraits of the newlyweds. From there, we made our way over to the Charles J. Dougherty ballroom, which never disappoints! The natural light that spills into that room makes for gorgeous reception photos, and the balcony outside is perfect for getting some fresh air and a fantastic view of the city. The various dinner stations and impressive cookie spread were absolutely delicious, and the dance floor was crowded all throughout the evening!
