Megan & J.D. had an absolutely beautiful day for their St. Malachy Catholic Church / Pittsburgh Airport Marriott wedding, despite a few storms rolling through earlier in the day. I met up with Megan and her bridesmaids at her parents’ house, while J.D. got ready with his groomsmen at the Marriott where their reception would be held. The day started out with the weather looking a little threatening, and sure enough as we were heading to St. Malachy for the ceremony, the clouds let loose quite a bit of rain & thunder. But as Megan’s father walked her down the aisle and the ceremony began, the weather cleared and we had beautiful sunny skies by the time we arrived at the Montour Trail for portraits.
Their reception ballroom at the Pittsburgh Airport Marriott looked absolutely gorgeous when we arrived as the staff was putting on the finishing touches. With purple uplighting and lush floral centerpieces, this room was ready for a party. Megan & J.D. made their grand entrance, danced their first dance (with a few tears flowing from the bride’s eyes), cut their wedding cake, and listened to the matron of honor, best man, and father of the bride say a few congratulatory words. After dinner, the dance floor opened and the guests jumped right up to join in – especially the little ones! Here’s a quick peek into the highlights of Megan & J.D.’s day!
