When I first met Cortney & Chris last year to learn about their wedding plans, one of the first things Cortney told me was that she had been dreaming of having her wedding at the Pennsylvanian since she was a little girl. And the more she explained her vision for the day, it was clear that this grand, stunning venue was the perfect location for her fairytale wedding. As if that didn’t have me excited enough to photograph their big day, I also had the pleasure of getting to know Cortney & Chris a bit more before the wedding, particularly during their downtown engagement session. Seeing how perfect these two are for each other was the cherry on top of my eagerness to photograph their I Do’s!
Cortney & Chris tied the knot at Mt. Lebanon United Methodist Church, which also happened to be the perfect spot for all of their photos as well. The bride & groom both looked amazing in their wedding attire, but I have to say, their adorable dog Chase may have stole the show in his matching tux & bowtie! From the church, we made our way downtown to the Pennsylvanian, and all I can say is: Wow! The reception was decorated absolutely beautifully, with extra kudos to the Pennsylvanian’s staff, Heather of Day Of Pittsburgh, and Rania’s Catering for pulling together all of the little details. And I cannot forget to mention that the talented bride, Cortney, made ALL of the flower arrangements herself – from the bouquets & boutonnieres to the centerpieces and accents around the reception – and they were unbelievably breathtaking! Their reception was full of happiness & of course a packed dance floor thanks to their DJ, Jeremy Ganss! And you bet we made a point to step outside under the Pennsylvanian’s iconic rotunda for a few night photos before the evening was through. Have a look below at some highlights from their day!
